I’ve been visiting this old skeleton tree for the past 15 years. It is the last of many skeleton trees that were destroyed by Hurricanes Opal, Ivan, and several smaller hurricanes like Sally. It is slowly withering away and I don’t expect it to be standing much longer. This skeleton trees has given me so many wonderful photos along with the others trees that are long gone - they became like old familiar friends to me. It’s sad that the storms destroyed them, but I like to think that my photos have given them some life after they’re gone; if nothing else, they’ll be remembered.
This is a two minute exposure taken under the full moon.
